The basic knowledge about stats and probability provided by this exam, will help you in many other exams if the CT Series.

Also, noting the fact that the syllabus is changing, CT1 and CT5 will combine and become a single exam from next year onwards, but with CT3, there is no such change involved in the near future. So, you must go for it.
You can appear for CT3 in April or September/October.
