Delhi Public Library (DPL) Membership Card Procedure:

To join the Library Membership which is open to all persons :

Download the membership application:
- Membership form in Hindi
- Membership form in English
Fill in the details and get the signature of your parent/guardian if you are below 18 years.
Get the filled form attested by any responsible person (such as Gazetted officers/Principal/Lecturer/Elected Public Representative/MBBS Doctor/Lawyer/Bank Manager/President/ Secretary of any Residents Welfare Association/ any Officer of Semi Govt. or Public Undertaking equivalent to the Gazetted Officers etc.)
Give in the membership application form at the registration counter along with Rs. 25/- (for BPL card holders) or Rs. 100/- (for others). Those who are unable to obtain attestation can become members by depositing a refundable security deposit of Rs. 3000/-.
- Residents of NCR (A total of 24 districts in three neighboring states of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan along with the whole of the National Capital Territory of Delhi ) have to follow the same procedure, subject to the condition that they have to deposit a number of Rs. 3000/- per member as a Security Deposit refundable upon surrender of the membership without making payment of interest thereon.
- The outstation students shall be provided Temporary membership of the library for a period of six months on production of any of the documents out of:
  - Photo ID Card of Educational Institute where the student is studying
  - Voter / Election ID Card
  - Driving License
  - Passport
    accompanied with a security Deposit of Rs. 3000/-
Submit it to the library staff at the registration counter and show your current residence proof out of:
- Ration Card
- Election I-Card
- Office I-Card
- Passport
- Driving License
- CGHS.ESI Card
- Bank Pass Book
- Current Electricity Bill
- Aadhar Card
- MTNL Bill
  etc.
The card is then issued after your form is checked and found appropriate.
